PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Updates in PH (August 17)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the southwest monsoon would continue to bring rains over some parts of the Philippines.

On Saturday (August 17, 2019), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released the latest weather condition in the country. The weather agency said that the southwest monsoon would continue to affect the weather condition in several areas.

PAGASA said that the Habagat would bring cloudy weather conditions with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms over the Extreme northern Luzon or the Batanes and Babuyan Group of Islands.

Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with localized thunderstorms in the afternoon are also expected over the remaining parts of the country. The western sections of northern and central Luzon might experience monsoon rains.

The weather agency is not expecting any tropical cyclone or a low-pressure area to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility over the next few days.

Meanwhile, the weather bureau also warned the residents of Pangasinan, La Union, Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Norte, Batanes, Babuyan, Calayan, Cagayan, and Isabela that sea travel for small sea crafts remain risky after gale warning has been raised.
