Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Agrees To Providing Free WiFi in 6 Areas in the City

Mayor Isko Moreno signed a deal with PLDT that provides free WiFi in six(60 areas in Manila City.

Undeniably, nowadays, WiFi connection is one of those that have been very useful to a lot of people. Most individuals now depend on the internet connection to communicate with their loved ones through different social media platforms.

With regards to this, a good news has recently crossed the surface. Manila Mayor Isko Moreno signed a deal that provides free WiFi in six(6) areas in the city.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Mayor Moreno inked a deal with PLDT Inc. The free WiFi connection that will be provided can be availed by Smart users. Smart is the mobile unit of the giant telecommunication provider.

The signing of the deal was held today, August 7, at the Manila City Hall. Manuel Pangilinan, the President of PLDT, was present during the signing of the agreement.

Based on the report, the free WiFi will be provided in the following areas in Manila City:

  • Manila City Hall
  • Ospital ng Maynila
  • Tondo Medical Center
  • Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center
  • Universidad de Manila
  • Museo Pambata

Every person can access the free WiFi provided for thirty(30) minutes per day. In a statement, Smart cited that the “partnership will empower Filipinos across the city” to keep in touch with their loved ones. It can also be a way to connect with their workplaces and grow their business even more.

Undeniably, a lot of people admire what is happening in Manila, the capital city of the Philippines, now. It has only been a few weeks since Mayor Moreno sat to lead the Manileños.
