Coast Guard Records 31 Deaths from Guimaras Iloilo Accident

GUIMARAS ILOILO ACCIDENT – The Philippine Coast Guard’s (PCG) death toll records from the accident that happened to three(3) boats traveling Guimaras-Iloilo reaches 31.

Currently, a lot of people are mourning over the recent incident that took place on the central island of Guimaras and the province of Iloilo on Saturday. Three(3) wooden boats capsized amid the bad weather.

According to the survivors, they were almost near their destination when the sky went gloomy and, in just a minute, the boats they were riding overturned. A lot of them were trapped under the boats amid the high current of water.

Sadly, a lot of people did not survive the incident. Many people were left orphaned by the sea accident.

Based on a recent report on ABS-CBN News, the death toll from the record of the Philippine Coast Guard regarding the Guimaras Iloilo accident has reached 31.

There were a total of 96 passengers and boat crew who were involved in the accident. According to PCG spokesman commander Armand Balilo, there are three(3) people who are still missing now.

The PCG Spokesman said there were no passengers in the third ferry but five(5) crew members. Fortunately, all of them survived the accident based on the report.

Reportedly, the death toll record of the Coast Guard is higher than the Iloilo disaster agency’s records. We’ll keep you posted for updated.
