Elizabeth Zimmerman To Skip SONA 2019
SONA 2019 – Elizabeth Zimmerman, the former wife of President Rodrigo Duterte would skip the president’s fourth State of the Nation Address.
On Monday (July 22, 2019), Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte announced that her mother Elizabeth Zimmerman is skipping SONA 2019.
Inday Sara explained that her mother could not attend this year’s SONA because she is currently busy supervising her grandchildren.
“She is hands on supervising five grandchildren,” Sara Duterte-Carpio said.
President Duterte’s children including Inday Sara and Sebastian “Baste” Duterte could not also attend his fourth SONA.
The mayor would skip her father’s SONA because she is currently on a 60-day leave from work due to her gynecological condition.
While Baste is also skipping his dad’s SONA because he will be attending a regular session of the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Davao.
However, Duterte’s children said that they would watch their father’s speech on television.
SONA 2019 will be held Batasang Pambansa in Quezon City around 3:00 pm on Monday afternoon.
