Jane De Leon Perfect Fit For The Role As Darna, Says Producer Malou Santos
JANE DE LEON – Producer and ABS-CBN consultant Malou Santos recently said that Star Magic star Jane de Leon is the perfect fit for Darna.
In a previous report, de Leon broke her silence after knowing that she was chosen for the role of Philippines’ famous superheroine Darna.
She took time in social media to give thanks to the people who believed she has the charm to become the next Darna. Netizens eventually reacted to her post congratulating the actress.
Jane also admitted that she was supposed to take the role of a villain in Darna. However, she was urged by director Jerrold Tarog to take the titular heroine.
A report from ABS-CBN states that producer and ABS-CBN consultant Malou Santos shared her excitement in having to work alongside the actress.
Santos further said that she is happy and proud, noting that they finally found the perfect fit for Darna that they want to introduce to today’s generation and it is none other than Jane.
The much awaited movie is a beginning and a coming of age story for Darna. that being said, they wanted to look for someone young with an air of innocence and strength of character.
Santos was even more impressed with Jane’s personality aside from her acting.
As per the report, the producer revealed that when they got to review and talk to the actress, Santos saw some of Jane’s values that reflects the personality of the heroine.
Santos further said that aside from Jane’s looks and acting potential when the chance of her playing the role opened up, her passion and enthusiasm was very high.
Lastly, Santos said that now that she’s taking the role, the producer will remember Jane’s commitment to become the character and project since she is embracing it 100%.
