The General’s Daughter lead actress Angel Locsin reacted to former Girltrends member Jane de Leon as she was recently named as the new Darna.
It can be recalled that Angel was supposed to do the movie about the iconic Pinay superhero. However, she gave up her role because of her back injury.
She already played Darna but it was a TV series when she was still in the Kapuso network. That stint is one of the most memorable roles that is being associated with Angel.
Then, the role was passed to Liza Soberano. Amid the preparations, a problem surfaced regarding the creative differences between the first director, Erik Matti, and the producers of the movie.
When Darna movie already has its new director, Jerrold Tarog, the finger injury of Liza became a problem. She gave up the role for that and went to the US for surgery.
Showbiz fans have been expressing who they want to be the next Darna and some actresses also expressed desire to play the role.
On Wednesday, Darna is one of the top trends on social media as the actress who play the iconic role was named.
Based on a previous report, Jane de Leon is the lucky girl who will soon soar high in the big screen.
