Tropical Depression Falcon To Bring Heavy Rains Over Parts of PH, PAGASA Says

The state weather bureau PAGASA said that Tropical Depression Falcon would bring heavy rains over some parts of the Philippines.

On Monday (July 15, 2019), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released the latest weather updates in the country.

PAGASA reported that the low-pressure area they are monitoring has intensified into Tropical Depression Falcon.

Falcon was last spotted at 1,015 kilometers east of Virac, Catanduanes packing maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 60 kph moving 20 kph at a north-northwest direction.

The tropical depression would bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the Bicol Region and Eastern Visayas.

The weather agency also reported that Falcon could possibly develop into a tropical storm or typhoon over the next few days.

The weather disturbance is also drawing the Southwest Monsoon that would affect the weather condition over Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Mindanao, and the rest of Visayas.

The localized thunderstorms would bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

PAGASA also warned the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flashfloods and landslides.

Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over the Eastern section of Visayas, Mindanao would be moderate to rough, while slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions are expected over the remaining parts of the country.
