7-Storey Cambodia Building Collapsed w/ Workers Inside
CAMBODIA BUILDING – A 7-storey building that is under construction in Phnom Penh collapsed and left deaths.
Undeniably, people in the construction site are faced with a lot of risks daily. In fact, many individuals lost their lives due to unfortunate incidents while on duty for a building under construction.
Recently, another incident like it happened in Cambodia.
Based on an article on ABS-CBN News, a 7-storey Cambodia building collapsed today and left deaths. There were workers inside when the incident happened.
The said building is owned by a Chinese company whose owner rented a space in the beach town of Sihanoukville.
Speaking to AFP, Preah Sihanouk Provincial Governor Yu Min said that they pulled out a body and saw two(2) more stuck between the debris. Three(3) people were confirmed to have died due to the incident.
Based on the report, Information Minister Khieu Kanharith expressed that the three people who died were all Cambodians. Two(2) were workers in the site while the other one was a translator.
According to Min, 20 people have been rescued and the operation is still ongoing. They still can’t give the exact number of people who were at the site when the accident happened.
The Governor expressed that, usually, there are 50 workers on the site during the time when the building collapsed.
