Jose Manalo clarified the issue involving Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards
Kapuso comedian-host Jose Manalo clarified the “pinaghihiwalay” issue involving Phenomenal Star Maine Mendoza and Pambansang Bae Alden Richards.
Popularly known as AlDub, the tandem of Maine and Alden created a huge fandom from an accidental pairing in Eat Bulaga.
They were on the height of their popularity as love team partners in Kalyeserye when Maine released her open letter. She honestly revealed to their fans that there is nothing more beyond the camera between her and Alden.
That devastated some fans while some wholeheartedly expected. In line with this revelation, the love team partners seemed to grow apart from each other. They already did separate projects and Maine was linked to Arjo Atayde.
Now that the romance between Maine and Arjo is blooming, another rumor arises concerning the AlDub.
Based on the article PEP, allegedly Eat Bulaga is intentionally separating the two young talents and they are rarely seen together in one frame.
Jose Manalo clarified this issue. “Sa Eat Bulaga kasi, siguro, iyong portion namin—maraming portion sa Bulaga—so bawa’t host, binibigyan sila ng kanya-kanya,” he explained.
The comedian-host added, “Pero noong time naman na magkasama, minsan kasama rin namin sila sa Juan for All. Mas madalas… Siguro, sa isang linggo, isang beses, dalawang beses, kasama namin sila.”
For Jose, there is no such thing as “pinaghihiwalay”. He also said that Maine and Alden are not avoiding each other.
“Parang mga bata yung dalawang yun pag nag-uusap, nagbibiriuan. Masaya! Masaya!” he shared.
When asked if there is something that changed between Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards, Jose Manalo said that the sweetness is still there. He said that both changed to be better in their craft but their treatment to each other is still the same, based on the article.
“Pero yung pagbabago para sa kanila, kung itinatanong ninyo yung sweetness nila…Yung sweetness, nandoon, e! Naghaharutan yung dalawa!” the comedian-host said.
