WATER INTERRUPTION – A total of twenty(20) villages in Quezon City is set to experience temporary stopping of water services on May 24 (Friday).

Water is among the basic needs of humans. Without the other things, people can survive for days although it would be hard but, without water, a lot of negative things await the corner.

That is why in the Philippines and in other countries, the government units are trying to make sure that everyone gets enough supply with the help of water service providers.

However, there are also cases wherein water interruption will take place as there are times that maintenance works need to be done. It is in line with the pursuit to provide well for the consumers.

Thus, to compensate with the interruption which sometimes go for several hours, water service providers like the Manila Water inform the consumers ahead of time.

Water Interruption

Based on a recent report on ABS-CBN News, the Manila Water warned the residents of twenty(20) villages in Quezon City of water interruption on May 24-25, 2019.

Manila Water would be closing several valves on its main transmission lines along the Elliptical Road. It is to allow the 900-millimeter pipeline at North Avenue’s corner to be connected.

According to the report, the water interruption will start at 11:00 pm on Friday and may last until 6:00 am on Saturday. The water service provider is advising the residents of the following to store water:

  • Old Capitol Site
  • Vasra
  • Project 6
  • Culiat
  • New Era
  • Bahay Toro
  • Tandang Sora
  • Pasong Tamo
  • Central
  • Malaya
  • Pinyahan
  • Sikatuna Village
  • San Vicente
  • Teachers Village East
  • Teachers Village West
  • U.P. Village

Reportedly, Manila Water also expressed that even after the 7-hour stopping of water supply, some areas may still experience interruption of supply. According to the provider, it is due to the limited supply of raw water.
