Netizen Allegedly Victimized By Scammer Selling Bike Rack for Car on Facebook

NETIZEN – A member of the online community reached out to Philnews.ph to warn his fellow bikers about the alleged scammer selling car bike rack on Facebook.

Aside from using it as a tool to communicate with other people around the world, social media platforms are also currently used in buy and sell purposes. A lot of individuals run their businesses with the help of these platforms.

There are also people who are not into business but have used the platform in selling things they no longer need. However, unfortunately, there are people who seem to use the social media platforms in their negative motives.

Recently, a certain netizen named “Bobbie Reynaldo” reached out to Philnews.ph to warn his fellow bikers. According to him, he was victimized by an alleged scammer selling car bike rack on Facebook.

Reynaldo sent screenshots of their alleged conversation and as well as the post of the alleged scammer on Facebook. The latter is using the name “Unclebenny Hobby” on social media.

Based on the alleged conversation of the netizen and the car bike rack seller, they have agreed with the price and the buyer has sent money to the seller of the car bike rack under the name “Kim Nesas”.

Also, the two people involved in the transaction agreed to have the item shipped. The buyer even expressed willingness to send an additional of Php 500.00 for the shipment of the item.

According to Bobbie Reynaldo, after they were done with the transaction and the alleged scammer has claimed the payment he sent, he did not anymore reply to him.

The netizen sent the money for the car bike rack through a known money transfer company in the Philippines. This money transfer company usually notifies the sender when the receiver has claimed the amount.

Based on the alleged message of the money transfer company to Reynaldo, Kim Nesas has claimed the amount at their Batangas-Alitagtag-Pinagkrusan branch.
