A super fan of the superhero Superman caught the attention of people in Negros Occidental because he took fandom to the next level.
Rudy Villanueva, 43 years old, is a self-confessed avid fan of the Man of Steel. He works as a utility staff of Bago City Hospital and wearing the iconic red costume is part of his daily routine.
The super fan has been seen in other parts of Negros wearing the costume. Based on the report from Negros Daily Bulletin, many people have a misconception about the state of mind of Villanueva as he is wearing the Superman costume wherever he goes.
He admitted that he has been a fan of the DC superhero since his childhood days. That is the reason why he imitates the costume and even the hairstyle and the glasses of Clark Kent, the alter ego of his favorite superhero.
Villanueva is aware that some people speculate that he is out of his mind. However, he does not mind the negative comments as long as he is not hurting anyone.
He added that he just let people think what they want to think and he will just continue to do what makes him happy.
