PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Updates

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported the latest weather updates and announced that a low-pressure area has been spotted near Ilocos Norte.

On Tuesday (May 7, 2019), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released the latest weather updates.

PAGASA said that the trough of a low-pressure area would affect the weather condition over some parts of the country.

The weather agency said that the low-pressure area was last spotted at 160 kilometers north northwest of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte.

The LPA’s trough would bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, central Luzon, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, Mindoro provinces, Marinduque, and Romblon.

The localized thunderstorms would bring partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rainshowers over the rest of the country.

The weather bureau also advised the public to take precautionary measures for possible flashfloods and landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over the extreme northern Luzon would be moderate to occasionally rough.

Slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions are also expected over the rest of the country.
