The state weather bureau PAGASA is now closely monitoring a low-pressure area spotted east of Davao City that may bring rains over parts of the country.

On Monday (April 8, 2019), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released the newest and the latest weather updates.

The LPA’s trough would bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.

The weather agency said that the LPA is unlikely to develop into a tropical cyclone as it moves towards Mindanao.

The rainshowers would be good for the areas which had no rain for a long period of time.

The easterlies would also bring partly cloudy to cloudy conditions over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over the eastern section of Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao would be moderate to occasionally rough.

Slight to moderate sea conditions are also expected over the Northern and Central Luzon and the remaining parts of the country.

The weather bureau also warned the public to take precautionary measures for possible flashfloods due to severe thunderstorms.
