Pres. Duterte Makes Order Regarding Expenses of Government Personnel For Travels

DUTERTE – Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte released an order regarding the travel expenses of the government officials and personnel.

From time to time, officials and personnel under the government agencies travel for certain reasons. Among the common reasons are to attend conferences or meetings, to deliver services, or to make transactions with other agencies.

The expenses of the government personnel during an official travel is covered by the fund but there are limitations. There are certain rates of expenses and allowances that should be adhered to.

Recently, an update regarding the expenses of government personnel during official travels crossed the surface.

Based on a recent social media post on the Facebook page of Inquirer, Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte released an order over the travel expenses of the government personnel.

The said order, Executive Order No. 77, covers both local and international travels of the personnel of the government.

Based on the order, the rates for the travel expenses and allowances will be determined by the President along with the recommendation of the Travel Rates’ Committee.

The TRC has already submitted its recommendation to the Office of the President and it includes the revision of certain rules and rates with regards to the travel expenses of government personnel.

Based on the post, both the local and foreign travels of the National Government Agencies (NGA) including the State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) are covered in the order.

As of this writing, there are still no further details with regards to the itemization of the rates of travel expenses and allowances.
