  1. I have bee denied a Landbank cash card on the grounds that it is for corporate use only. Many banks like BDO, BPI and others offer cash cards to anyone, so why is it so difficult to get one from Landbank?

    I was told that the “Cash Card is not a deposit account. It may only use for loans,employee benefits, etc. The card will be released through the agency concerned”.

    That does’t make sense to me, the bank’s vision is to help those that are unbanked, especially in the province.

    In the Landbank website it says that the Cash Card can be used as follows;
    CASH CARD APPLICATION, “Employee Benefits” that would be wages etc.
    “Funds Remittance” that would be the general public.
    “Collection Mode for merchants” this is shopping from stores with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.

    So, in essence this cash card should be available to all that request it without discriminating, it should not matter if you are part of the corporate world or if you have a job or not.

    Sandy Ghaz tells us in this blog that anyone can get Landbank Cash Card but that has not been my experience.

    Would anyone else care to share their experience?
