Government Officials Reacts On Chinese Woman Throwing a Cup of Taho To Police Officer

GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS – Philippine government officials reacted about the incident involving the Chinese woman throwing a cup of taho at the police officer.

Following a previous article, a Chinese lady threw a cup of taho at a police officer’s uniform after stopping her from bringing her drink inside the Metro Rail Transit station.

It was previously announced that bringing of liquids at the MRT station is prohibited following the Jolo, Sulu blast.

The Police officer identified the foreign woman as Jiale Zhang who was a student and resides at the condominium in Mandaluyong City.

Chinese lady went viral on social media and earned a lot of bash from the Filipinos and her fellow foreigners for throwing her taho to PO1 William Cristobal at the MRT.

Jiale Zhang is currently facing charges of direct assault, disobedience to a person in authority and unjust vexation.

The Chinese national has been detained at the Mandaluyong police headquarters for three days now.

Meanwhile, several government officials expressed their reactions about the incident involving the police officer and the Chinese woman.

Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson tweeted about the Chinese national stating “She’s undesirable. She’s also an alien. Declare her as both.”

Based on a report from Philstar, Vice President Leni Robredo gave her statements disrespect of the Chinese national to the police officer.

Hindi lang pambabastos sa pulis pero pambabastos ito sa bansa natin,” she said.

Magdalo party senatorial candidate Rep. Gary Alejano gave his statements about the incident.

“This is what happens when our government itself favors the Chinese and callse our county a “Province of China.”

“Hindi lamang an gating mga mangingisda at mga sundalo sa West Philippine Sea and nakaranas ng Bullying dahil pati mismo an gating mga kapulisan ay hindi ginagalang,” he added.

However, Department of Foreign Affairs secretary Teddy Boy Locsin reacted on Leny Robredo’s statements.
