Fuel Stations Set To Observe Fuel Price Hike Beginning January 8, 2019

FUEL PRICE – Prominent fuel stations Shell and Petro Gazz are set to implement a hike in the prices of fuel starting January 8, 2019.

Undeniably, fuel now has become one of the necessities of most people considering the transportation means. Whether you are getting to your itineraries through public or private vehicles, it is needed.

However, everytime the price of the fuel scores higher, many people prefer to just take the public transportation. In that case, others will share with you on paying for the total costs of getting to a certain place.

But truths be told that the fuel price also affect the rate of the minimum fares in jeepneys and other public transportation. A continuous increase on the prices of fuel may also mean a series of increase on fares.

Recently, two fuel stations in the Philippines have decided to go for a fuel price hike starting January 8, 2019. Based on social media posts on the Twitter page of ABS-CBN News, the said stations are Shell and Petro Gazz.

According to the report, beginning 6:00 o’clock in the morning of January 8, the Petro Gazz will implement the price hike on the following:

  • Diesel: Php 0.70 per liter
  • Gasoline: Php 0.80 per liter

Aside from Petro Gazz, based on another post of ABS-CBN News, Shell is also set to implement the fuel price hike starting 6:00 am of January 8, 2019. The following are set to be implemented:

  • Diesel: Php 0.70 per liter
  • Gasoline: Php 0.80 per liter
  • Kerosene: Php 0.40 per liter
