Former US President George H.W Bush Sponsored Pinoy Kid Secretly For 10 Years
The late US President George H.W Bush sponsored a young Pinoy kid in secret for 10 years long using a certain pseudonym.
George H.W. Bush’s death saddened the people of the United States yet continues to warm the public’s heart.
A nonprofit organization revealed that the late President Bush secretly sponsored 7-year-old Filipino boy for 10 years.
Compassion International is the nonprofit organization who connected the two for using local churches to help poor children all around the world.
The organization revealed that the former US leader sends financial assistance to fund the education, meal, and extracurricular activities of the Filipino kid named “Timothy”.
Jim McGrath, a spokesperson for the Office of George H. W. Bush confirmed that the letter was authentic.
Wess Stafford, the former president of Compassion International revealed that Bush got the idea of sponsoring a child after attending a Christmas concert at Washington in 2001.
The nonprofit asked the audience if some of them would like to sponsor a child then Mr. Push suddenly raised
Stafford also said that Bush also asked the organization to hide his identity to make sure that the boy doesn’t know who his sponsor is.
Bush starts to send his first letter to Timothy on January 24,
Timothy only discovered thatMr. Bush was his sponsor after he had graduated from the program.
However, Stafford had no idea where Timothy is, despite their efforts to locate the Pinoy child.
