Chinese Taxi Driver Goes Viral for Bringing Wife with Alzheimer’s to Work Every day
TAXI DRIVER – A Chinese taxi driver named Shen Deli brought his wife with Alzheimer’s disease to work every day went viral.
It’s quite a challenge when the love of your life needs 24/7 care but you also need to report to work and there’s no one else could look after him/her.
Some people even decided to quit their jobs and just focus on taking of them while others found another way to overcome such a challenge.
Based on a report from South China Morning Post, a taxi driver in China named Shen Deli brings his wife with Alzheimer’s to work every day.
An Alzheimer’s disease is a brain disorder that makes a person slowly lost its memory, ability to think and skills in reasoning. Therefore, the wife of the 66-years-old taxi driver could no longer take care of herself.
According to the report, some passengers decline their trips after they discover that the taxi driver has his wife with him on the front seat. The taxi driver’s rating on the raid-hailing app Didi is also very low.
Shen’s ratings changed after a Chinese businessman named Cai Hongyan ride on his taxi and posted a picture of his wife sitting beside him
The businessman asked some questions to the taxi driver and about his wife. Shen said that he started bringing his wife to work since she got diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.
Cai Hongyan also learned that the taxi driver frequently got canceled trips after the passenger sees his wife along with him. However, Shen didn’t care about the ratings or the passengers declining the trips, he just wanted to be with his wife wherever he goes.
“She’s my wife. We keep each other company no matter what,” Cai quoted Shen’s statement.
Based on the report, since Cai Hongyan ’s post became viral, a lot of people sympathize to Shen and his wife. They even expressed some good reviews on the taxi driver and no longer cancel their trips.
A passenger said it is safer to ride on Shen’s car considering he’s brought with him the most important person in his life.
It really is sad about what happened to the taxi driver’s wife but his an excellent example of a very loving husband.
