‘Los Bastardos’ character of Diego Loyzaga dies after his rumored suicide attempt
The character of Diego Loyzaga in Los Bastardos dies following rumors about his alleged suicide attempt.
It was previously reported that Diego was the actor who allegedly tried to kill himself using a Swiss knife.
Amid the pertinent rumors pointing to him, no one from his camp said anything about it.
A previous report also said that a source close to the actor shared that he was taken to a rehabilitation center from the hospital.
Later on, it was reported that he denied that he attempted to kill himself.
Following this, there were reports which stated that he already went to the States.
Because of that, Diego’s co-stars in Los Bastardos haven’t seen him in their tapings.
It was said that he already gave up his role in the Kapamilya soap opera.
Now, it was confirmed from a source working in ABS-CBN that he is already out of the series.
Based on the report published in Bandera, Diego Loyzaga has turned down his part in Los Bastardos.
He was playing the character of Joaquin Cardinal, the eldest son of Don Roman Cardinal, Sr. played by veteran actor Ronaldo Valdez.
“Wala na, bumitaw na si Diego sa Los Bastardos. Sa totoo lang hindi siya binitiwan ni RSB (Ruel S. Bayani), binigyan siya ng two weeks or more para makabalik sa show, e, mismong si Teresa (Loyzaga) na ang nagsabing hindi na babalik ang anak. Kaya walang choice kundi patayin na ang karakter niya,” the source said.

In order for his character to have a closure in the show, it will be shown that he went to the US but his plane crashed. Then, there will be a scene of funeral rites, based on the article.
“Nanghihinayang ang lahat kay Diego. Ang galing daw umarte at malambing sa mga katrabaho, kaya sana makabawi agad siya at mabigyan uli ng chance,” the personnel from the Kapamilya network said.
