New Mall Hours For Holiday Season To Be Implemented Starting Nov 5
The new mall hours for the holiday season will be implemented over the National Capital Region (NCR) starting November 5, 2018.
Several malls in Metro Manila changed their opening schedule from 10 am, it will be moved to 11 am to ease the traffic congestion in the area.
The adjusted mall hours will start on Monday (November 5, 2018) until January 14, 2019, aiming to reduce the heavy traffic this Christmas season.
However, the mall operators will be the one to decide to set the closing hours.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced that the new mall hour schedules will affect the 15 malls along EDSA, Commonwealth, C5, and Marcos Highway.

MMDA also suggested the mall operators refrain from making ‘Sale’ during weekdays to prevent traffic jams.
Some shoppers are not happy with the adjust mall hours claiming that it was too late for some those who wanted to shop early.
While there are some citizens that the new mall hour schedules will be effective in easing the traffic during rush hours.
