A poor man attempted to swim from Cebu to Bohol just to visit his departed loved ones since he can’t afford a boat ticket.

Recently, the Facebook page Philippine Star has shared how a desperate scavenger attempted to swim from Cebu to Bohol because he can’t afford to buy a boat ticket to reach his destination.
The poor man was rescued in the waters of Talisay City while swimming from Cebu going to Bohol to light candles for his deceased parents laid in his hometown.
The scavenger attempted to swim heading to Bohol since he can’t afford to buy a boat ticket, according to a 48-year-old resident of Carmen, Bohol named Ceferino Angco.
The desperate man suffered cramps while swimming but luckily survived with the help of a Styrofoam floater.
After a few moments, the man was rescued ashore and Talisay City Councilor Jojo Bacaltos accompanied him on the way to Pier 1 to avail a trip to Bohol.
