It is no secret to the public that Sarah Geronimo was raised by a mother who really cares a lot in everything she does. The actress-singer’s mom, Mommy Divine Geronimo, has always been visibly protective of her daughter.

Recently, the talk about the strictness of Mommy Divine Geronimo has crossed the surface once again after she allegedly opposed the airing of the Gandang Gabi Vice with her daughter and James Reid as guests.

The strict mother allegedly did not want it to be aired because of the revelations of the actress-singer on her relationship with Matteo Guidicelli. Sarah’s mom has yet to break her silence on the issue.

Mommy Divine Geronimo has previously spoken about her being a strict mom to her children including Sarah Geronimo.
Based on a report on Pep, speaking to ABS-CBN’s Showbiz Insider Report, Mommy Divine told Janice de Belen that she was raised by strict parents. She is the 11th of the 12 children of her parents.
“Hindi ko talaga naranasang lumabas. Talagang school-bahay ako. And then working during daytime. And then gabi ako nag-aaral,” she said.
According to Sarah Geronimo’s mother, her parents and her grandmother were the ones who raised her and her siblings. She commends the way they were raised and she wanted to do the same to her children.
“Sobra kong minamahal yung kung paano ko nakita sa mga matatanda namin na kung paano nila pinapalaki yung mga dalaga,” Mommy Divine said.
Based on the report, Mommy Divine Geronimo stressed that she Sarah Geronimo is an obedient daughter and a jolly one. According to her, the actress-singer is sincere and she does not want anyone to take advantage of it.
