PAGASA Reported That New LPA East of Northern Luzon Could Intensify Into Tropical Cyclone

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the new low-pressure area spotted east of Northern Luzon could turn into Tropical Cyclone.

On Tuesday (September 4, 2018), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released the latest weather update in the country.

PAGASA is now monitoring a new low-pressure area east of Northern Luzon that might intensify into a tropical cyclone.

The weather specialist Ariel Rojas explained that the trough of Typhoon Maymay (Jebi) has formed the new LPA.

Maymay was still affecting the parts of the country although it was already moving outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR).

The low-pressure area was last spotted at 1,530 kilometers east of Northern Luzon, which has a slim possibility of developing into a tropical cyclone.
