Philippines Loses To South Korea On 2018 Asian Games Basketball Race

The Philippines loses again to South Korea on the quarterfinals of 2018 men’s basketball medal race during the 2018 Asian Games.

On Monday (August 27, 2018) the Philippine national basketball team continued losing the battle against South Korea during basketball M quarterfinals.

The Filipino players are able to dictate the phase during the first three-quarters of the game and even lead the score by eight (8).

However, the South Korea team lashes the Pinoy players after making consecutive threes midway the fourth quarter leading to a score of 91-82.

“I take responsibility for it (loss). We were in the game until the last 5-6 minutes. We were not just comfortable with the zone (defense).” said head coach Yeng Guiao quoted by Inquirer.

The Filipino players dropped to the classification phase of the tournament wherein they could only get as high as fifth place on the competition.

Cleveland Cavaliers player Jordan Clarkson scored 25 points during the game vs South Koreans.

Meanwhile, Christian Standhardinger scored 16 points and Stanley Pringle was able to throw 14 points.
