Previously, Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia’s relationship was faced with a big challenge. It was after the former PBB housemate commented on a photo of a female netizen and alleged private conversations between them crossed the social media.
Speaking on Tonight With Boy Abunda (TWBA), Joshua Garcia admitted that he did comment on the photo but, according to the young actor, no private conversation happened. He and the young actress were able to fix things between them.
Currently, the JoshLia is working together on ABS-CBN’s upcoming television series Ngayon at Kailanman. The two celebrities recently appeared on the Sunday show Gandang Gabi Vice (GGV).
During their appearance, in one part of the show, Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto were asked to draw questions to the people whose photos would be shown on the screen. One of the photos shown is the photo of the young actress’ mom, Marjorie Barretto.
Based on a report on Pep, for his part, Joshua expressed that he will ask Marjorie her secret in parenting her children so he can also apply it when the time comes that he is also a parent. When it was her turn to draw a question, Julia expressed a question asking her mom if she has already forgiven Joshua.

Meanwhile, the young actress tagged it as a “joke”. Speaking to Pep and Cinema News at the grand press conference of her upcoming TV series, she clarified that it was just a joke and her mom has already forgiven the young actor.
“My mom has the best heart. For me she has the kindest soul and the best heart, she’s very forgiving. Who are we not to forgive? Ang Diyos nga pinapatawad tayong lahat,” she said.

Based on the report, Julia Barretto also agrees that what she and Joshua Garcia went through made them stronger. She also stressed the importance of communication in a relationship.
“Di ba, iyan ang sinasabi nila in a relationship, in a partnership, it’s very important ang communication. Para you meet halfway, para nagkakaintindihan, hindi nagkakagulo,” the young actress said.
