Bagyong Karding & Habagat To Affect Parts Of PH Until Sunday Morning, PAGASA Says
The state weather bureau PAGASA announced that Bagyong Karding and ‘Habagat ‘ will continue to affect parts of the country until the weekend.
On Thursday (August 9, 2018), the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has released the latest weather update in the country.
PAGASA reported that Tropical Depression Karding will bring scattered light to moderate and occasionally heavy rains although it was not expected to make a landfall.
Another low-pressure area spotted at 730 kilometers west of Northern Luzon enhances the southwest monsoon, which will bring an inclement weather condition in some parts of the country.
The enhanced ‘Habagat’ would bring rains over the western sections of Luzon and Visayas until Friday, according to weather specialist Meno Mendoza.
Mendoza also said that the western sections of Northern and Central Luzon would experience scattered to widespread moderate to heavy rains until Sunday morning.
Meanwhile, Bagyong Karding was expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by Friday evening (August 10, 2018).
The weather agency has also warned the residents living in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flashfloods and landslides due to monsoon rains.
