Kris Aquino thanked all Filipinos who showed support during the ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ premiere
Queen of all Media Kris Aquino is so lucky to be included in ‘Crazy Rich Asians‘ movie along with other stars who has Asian blood.
Though her appearance in the movie received criticisms, it did not hinder her to showcase that it is a pride for all the Filipinos.
Her portrayal of the character of Malay Princess Intan received positive comments from her co-stars in the movie.
Australian actor Chris Pang tagged the Pinay social media queen as the “real crazy rich Asian”.
It was indeed a once in a lifetime opportunity for Kris and as she walked on the Hollywood carpet for the movie premiere, her fellow Filipinos showed a heart-warming support to her.
The former presidential daughter was wearing a yellow Filipiniana gown from Michael Leyva as she is on character as she walked on the carpet with son Bimby who was wearing a barong.
“This was the reason we made the effort to be here…. it is my honor to proudly represent the Philippines. Maraming salamat po sa effort nyo to show your love & support!” Kris wrote in her Instagram post.
It can be seen in the video that Filipinos were waiting for her arrival, complete with banners and their gadgets for the photo opportunity with her.

Following this post, Kris Aquino shared another video with a lengthy caption. A portion of her caption was intended to thank all the Filipinos who came to see her. She appreciated the fact that her “kababayans” had to wait until noon to get the prime spot.
“THANK YOU to all the Filipinos who showed up w/ their flags, banners, and patiently waited since lunchtime to get prime spots. Yung effort na binigay nyo i know wasn’t just for me but because of Philippine pride. Uulitin ko po #kaysarapmagingpilipino,” she wrote.
