Korean’s Remains To Be Brought Home To South Korea

KOREAN – A Korean national ‘Gab Cheol Lee’ drowned in Barangay Sabang, Puerto Galera in Oriental Mindoro.

Certain things may happen unexpectedly just like the drowning of a Korean national in Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro. Based on a recent report on ABS-CBN News, 51-year-old Gab Cheol Lee was snorkeling in the Philippine waters when the unexpected incident happened.

He drowned in the ocean which is part of Barangay Sinandigan. The investigation showed that he was in the waters with a guide and they were riding in a banca or small boat. He reportedly told his guide that he will go for a snorkeling.

After several minutes, the Korean’s body was found floating in the part of the ocean where the current of the water is strong. He did not survive the drowning incident.

Based on the report, the papers of Gab Cheol Lee are now being prepared so his remains can be brought home to South Korea.

As per a report on DWDD, Gab Cheol Lee is a married man who was staying in a resort in Puerto Galera. Aside from his a dive guide and the boatman, they were with two Korean divers when the incident happened.

The dive guide immediately rescued him when they saw his body and tried to revive him but there was no response on his part. A doctor also tried to revive the drowned foreigner when the group reached the shore at Barangay Sabang.

Based on the report, the Korean national was brought to Puerto Galera Hospital but he was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician of the medical institution.
