But that’s the mundane thing about getting to know someone. No one knew that this beauty once battled depression.

In an Instagram post, Verzosa revealed that having depression is the secret she kept four years ago.
She was clinically diagnosed with it and fought her way to surpass and survive it. No one knew except her family that she’s been suffering from depression.
“When given the opportunity to speak about it, I took it, even when I was discouraged and told to focus on more visible and popular advocacies. This is very personal to me. This is for everyone who’s suffered from depression, mood disorders, anxiety, bipolar disorder or any form of mental illness. You are not alone,” she said in an Instagram post.

Moreover, “I once thought I was crazy, or maybe I still am. Who knows, we all need a bit of insanity to succeed. But it’s okay. Being honest about how you feel doesn’t make us weak, it makes us human.”
She also advised and encouraged everyone secretly keeping to themselves the depression they are suffering to speak up and get help. It was indeed never a secret how many lives depression stole.
