The lifeless shark measuring about 17-feet causes fear to the residents that the incident might be followed by a disaster such as a tsunami or an earthquake.

For the past few years, the appearance of deep-sea creatures such as oarfish in shallow water was linked to the series of earthquakes that shook the country.

The Japanese seismologists Kiyoshi Wadatsumi explained that deep-sea creatures living near the sea bottom are more sensitive to the movements of active faults.

The appearance of deep-sea creatures in shallow waters indicates that irregularities are happening in the deep.

The social media users have also expressed their reactions regarding the incident:

Ellaine Ramirez: “What might be the cause of death kaya?”

They are travelers para humanap ng pagkain.”

Eli Nitafan: “great white nakarating na sa pinas? Global warming.”
