Sapa-Sapa Town, Tawi-Tawi Vice Mayor Shot By Unidentified Person
TAWI-TAWI – Al-Rashid Mohammad Ali, the Vice Mayor of Sapa-Sapa Town in Tawi-Tawi province, was shot by an unidentified person in Zamboanga City.
Recently, there’s a series of politicians’ deaths. Based on a report, Tanauan City, Batangas Mayor Antonio Halili was shot during a flag ceremony. Together with the city hall employees and other government officials, they were singing the national anthem in front of the city hall when the incident happened.
Mayor Halili was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival. His death was followed by the death of General Tinio, Nueva Ecija Mayor Ferdinand Bote who was shot in Cabanatuan City.
Trece Martires, Cavite Vice Mayor Alex Lubigan also died in an ambush according to a report. He died on the spot after being shot in front of the Korean-Philippines hospital in Trece Martires on July 7.
Recently, another death of a politician has added to the series of unexpected incidents that have alarmed many people and left many families, friends, and constituents crying for justice.
Based on a report in Philstar, 53-year-old Sapa-Sapa town, Tawi-Tawi Vice Mayor Al-Rashid Mohammad Ali was shot by an unidentified person in Zamboanga City.
According to Zamboanga City Police Office Spokesperson Senior Inspector Shellamie Chang, the Tawi-Tawi town Vice Mayor was on board his Toyota Innova service car when it approached a heavy traffic along Gov. Alvarez Street around 5:20 pm causing it to slow down.
Vice Mayor Ali was seated in the front passenger seat of this service car. Based on the report, he was shot by an unidentified person four times. According to Chang, he was rushed to the hospital but he was declared dead on arrival.
Currently, the authorities are still investigating the incident that led to the death of the Tawi-Tawi town Vice Mayor.
