Innocent Twins Dies Due To Alleged Irresponsible Hospital Staff In Negros Occidental
Innocent twins died due to alleged irresponsible hospital staff and crew of a hospital in Silay City, Negros Occidental.
On June 20, 2018, a young man named Joseph Dato of Hacienda Himogaan Brgy. E Lopez Silay City suffered from over fatigue and cardiac arrest prompting his family to rush him at Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital.
Unfortunately, the medical personnel declared the 22-year-old man “Dead on Arrival”, which saddened its 18-year-old live-in partner Reymarie Prayco of Purok Narra Brgy. La Purisima E Lopez Silay City.
Reymarie is 8-month-pregnant with Joseph’s twins and about to give birth within the same month after her beloved partner passed away.
On June 27, 2018, Reymarie was rushed into the Silay provincial hospital after experiencing signs that she was about to give birth.
In the delivery room, the pregnant woman asked the nurse that she would like to give birth to twins via “Caesarian Section” (CS) procedure.
However, the nurse asked her if she has the money to pay all the expenses and refused to perform CS.
On June 29, 2018, Reymarie finally gives birth to her twin but the first child died during the operation. The medical staff immediately brought the patient to the operating room hoping that the second child would survive.
After a few moments, the second child died during the operation, which causes additional pain to Reymarie’s grievance.
The dead twins were rushed to the house of Joseph’s family for their funeral along with their father’s casket.
On June 30, 2018, Joseph and the twins were buried at Silay City Public Cemetery, which broke the heart of their family, friends, and relatives.
Prayco’s family is now planning to file legal charges against the irresponsible staff and personnel of the hospital.
