Quizon Family chooses Vice Ganda over Vic Sotto for the FAMAS Dolphy Award?
FAMAS DOLPHY AWARD – The Quizon Family allegedly chooses and picks the Kapamilya comedian Vice Ganda over Kapuso Vic Sotto to receive the FAMAS Dolphy Award.
Recently, Vice Ganda receiving the FAMAS Dolphy Award has created a stir online after a journalist from an entertainment website has doubted his credibility to have such an award.
According to a previous article, the journalist wrote, “Kaya lang, di ko kayang palagpasin itong pagpili nila ng Dolphy Lifetime Achievement Award na igagawad kay Vice Ganda. Bakit hindi muna si Vic Sotto na mas marami nang na-achieve kesa kay Vice kahit consistent siyang box-office winner at most bankable star?”
He even further added that there is still Joey De Leon and cited one alleged reason that it will be aired in ABS-CBN.
Thus, the Kapamilya comedian hit back in a thread as he dropped options that would apparently satisfy Rula’s preferences and offered to sponsor the trophies for the writer’s own awards ceremonies.
And now based on a report from Bandera, it was the members of the Quizon family who selected VG over VS the reason why people should not hit back to the award-giving body over the matter.
However, the bottom line is people should respect those who chose and who was chosen.
In a follow-up report, to address the issue, Erik Quizon, explained, “Sabi ko sa kanila, pagkatapos ng research saka ng survey… who seems to be deserving, I would give my recommendation. Ganun yun. Ganun yung process namin.”
“I don’t want to have… na magkaroon ng issue na pinagpilian, e. Ayoko ng ganun. As what I said, it’s not a contest. It’s a citation. It’s a recognition,” he expressed.
