Sunshine Cruz says she’s grateful to both ABS-CBN, GMA.
SUNSHINE CRUZ- Sunshine Cruz thanked both the Kapamilya and Kapuso Network for giving her lead roles despite her age.
Recently, Sunshine left netizens abuzz as soon as the reports about her signing a show contract with GMA 7 surfaced publicly. The actress previously had a successful stint in ABS-CBN’s revenge drama television series ‘Wildflower’ which aired its final episode last February 9.
Based on a previous report, the actress is set to be one of the casts of the upcoming Kapuso soap opera ‘Karibal Ko and Aking Ina’ alongside with co-actors Zoren Legaspi, Bing Loyzaga, Benjamin Alves and Bea Binene.
Sunshine previously released a statement in an interview that she formally asked the approval of her former home network before sealing the contract offered by GMA 7, its prime competitor.
On May 9, Sunshine expressed her heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to both networks that opened opportunities to her despite being in her forties on her official Facebook account.
“I am grateful and will always be grateful to ABS. I am a freelance artist and having this opportunity to be one of the lead stars of a teleserye is a blessing. Hindi lahat ng 40 years old ay mabibigyan ng pagkakataon na mag bida sa isang serye. Thank you to GMA dahil ang daming pwedeng mapili pero ako ang kanilang pinili for Karibal Ko Ang Aking Ina,” she wrote.
The Wildflower star also firmly stressed that she is a freelance artist, thus, she is not tied to any of the networks.
As a single mom of three, it’s a matter of pursuing the network where there is available opportunity for Sunshine.
She further called out her bashers who have been bombarding her with shady comments in her Instagram account to understand her freelance status and her shouldered responsibilities as a breadwinner of her family.
Presently, Sunshine is enjoying her best life and steady career as a devoted single mother to her three daughters Chesca, Angelina and Samantha. She is an open relationship with Ara Mina’s half-brother Macky Mathay.
