Pinoy Newscaster Jay Sonza Hits Kapuso Show “Saksi” Over Alleged Sabotage Of Rescue Mission For OFWs

The veteran Pinoy newscaster Jay Sonza hits the GMA show “Saksi” over alleged sabotage of rescue mission for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) in the Middle East.

Jay Sonza lambasted the Kapuso show “Saksi” on his recent Facebook post for featuring the video footage of a discreet mission to rescue Pinay domestic helpers from their abusive employer.

The newscaster revealed that the officials of the Philippine Embassy who helped in the case could possibly face legal charges.

The 62-year-old talk show host stressed that the effort and hard-work implemented by the Philippine government was wasted after GMA re-published the video on “Saksi”.

Sonza also explained that GMA might receive a good scoop but ruined the good start in saving the OFW.

The rescue operation violated the Kuwaiti laws as only their police could perform such operations, according to OWWA’s Arnell Ignacio.

Ignacio explained that the rescue ops should have first coordinated with the Kuwaiti police who could only make such operations.

Arnell said that the video only aggravated the situation prompting the Kuwaiti government to protest a violation of diplomatic norms.

Kuwaiti government might arrest some of the rescue ops who do not have immunity and several OWWA’s projects for OFWs in Kuwait might get affected by the incident.
