SUZETTE DOCTOLERO – Senior Soap Writer Suzette Doctolero calls out the writers of the show of the other network to do better especially on the depiction they made for a “Babaylan”.

The senior writer from the GMA Suzette Doctolero has sentiments released on social media about the “Babaylan” of the show from their rival network.

And lately, she took the social media to express something. Read below:

Great direction, one of the best acting ensemble kasi magagaling ang mga cast, Good fx. Bad writing. Come on, guys, you can do better than that. Wag babuyin ang kultura at paniniwala. Idepict ng tama. Assult sa ating pagka Pinoy yan. Wag. Sa halip, itaas pa.

Im one of the senior soap writers here so pls take my advice. Bihira ang chance na mabigyan ng malaking budget at airtime to depict our culture/history, gamitin ng tama kahit ba fiction yan o fantaserye. Make this the best soap ever. Wag sayangin. Pls wag babuyun. Pakiusap.

She just called out the writers of other network’s show writers to do better and not throw shade on historical figures they used on the show, especially the depiction which is given on “Babaylan” on the show.

Suzette further added on Facebook, “Seryoso nating denepict para icelebrate ang ating kasaysayan (at para rin alam ng mga bata ang ating mayamang kultura) pero may mga bababoy. Nyeta. Aalma na ako. Gaguhan.”

According to the netizens, the senior writer is pertaining to the role played by Dimples Romana as a “Babaylan” in Bagani to which some of the scenes included lighter ones and somehow comical to probably give a balance to the heavier ones.
