US Former First Lady Barbara Bush Passes Away At The Age Of 92

Barbara Bush, the former first lady of the United States (US) has already passed away at the age of 92, according to Bush family.

On Wednesday (April 18, 2018, PH-Time), Bush family spokesman Jim McGrath announced that the former US first lady Barbara Bush died at 92 after had been in failing health for the past few days.

McGrath said that Mrs. Bush who had been suffering from congestive heart failure has decided not to pursue medical treatment and instead focus on comfort care.

The first lady is the only woman who witnessed her both husband and son sworn in as the president of the United States.

She was the wife of George HW. Bush, the 41st US President, and the mother of George W. Bush, the 43rd US President who served for two terms.

The younger Bush said in a statement “My dear mother has passed on at age 92. Laura, Barbara, Jenna, and I are sad, but our souls are settled because we know hers was. Barbara Bush was a fabulous First Lady and a woman unlike any other who brought levity, love, and literacy to millions.”
