JESSIE J – The English singer and songwriter, Jessie J, hailed as the champion in the Singer 2018 and watch her winning performances below.
The first ever foreign winner of a popular Chinese music variety show, Singer 2018, is Jessie J.
She had competed against six other well-known Chinese singers to be the “King of singers”
Other candidates include Chinese rock musician and composer Wang Feng, ethnic Mongolian singer, songwriter and composer Tenggel and singer Zhang Shaohan, also known as Angela Chang, from the southeastern Chinese island region Taiwan.
According to a report from the Digital Spy, Jessie won the final with a huge 47.9% of the vote and her performance all throughout the competition is really impressive.
The show’s first international contestant never reached a place lesser than the third and landed on the top place on her first, second, third, and fifth performances.
The contestants of the final round have performed twice.
And Jessie J has a blasting performance with Coco Lee and KZ Tandingan singing “Bang Bang” on the first round.

After winning, she expressed this on Instagram, “Last year I was asked to compete in a singing competition in China. Performing alongside the biggest established singers/artists across Asia. I was the first international artist to ever be asked/compete. An honour alone. I know a lot of people were shocked when they found out. Like why would I compete in a singing competition… I’m probably the least competitive person I know. I said yes because I LOVE to do the unexpected and I LOVE to represent the UK and singing everywhere I go. I LOVE to sing. But also it was an opportunity to bridge a gap between two cultures. For them to see a western performer and hear music some had never heard before and visa versa.”
