Ann Katherine Quitoy, the female bet of Bacolod City has successfully set a new javelin throw record at Palarong Pambansa 2018.
On Monday (April 16, 2018), the Bacolod City bet was able to smash this year’s Palarong Pambansa after setting a new record on secondary girls’ javelin throw.
Quitoy successful threw the 600-gram javelin to 45.72 meters on her first attempt to give the first gold medal of Western Visayas.
The 17-year-old Pinay athlete made her historic javelin throw record at the University of Northern Philippines athletics field.
The young Bacolod City bet beats the 42.85m record of Sylvian Faith Abunda from Northern Mindanao who holds the record of last year’s javelin throw in Antique.
