AIKO MELENDEZ – The Kapamilya actress Aiko Melendez finally introduces and names her politician-boyfriend in an exclusive interview.
“Politician from the North” is what the actress Aiko Melendez used to describe her new boyfriend when she used to keep her relationship with the guy in private but not in secret.
Accordingly, she promised to the Philippine Entertainment Portal (Pep) that she will reveal and name the identity of her boyfriend to them.
And as promised, Aiko revealed to Pep that her new-found love is Mayor Jay Khonghun of Subic, Zambales.
According to a report from Pep Aiko and Khonghun are already spotted together by them in several events and incidents and they even attended the concert of her fellow star in “Wildflower” Maja Salvador.
Mayor Jay is already 40 years old and is also separated having one child from his previous marriage.
He entered the politics in 2004 as the Provincial Board Member of Zambales.
The actress further revealed, “We were supposed to date three years ago, pero hindi kami natuloy. Tapos, he was messaging me sa IG [direct messaging], but super deadma ako kasi hindi ko naman siya kilala.”

They even set a dinner meeting one time to which from then on, their communication did not stop as he was constantly calling her and sending her messages.
But considering their public reputation, they tend to and wanted their relationship private as much as possible.

“Gusto namin pareho sana private yung relationship kasi nga public na kaming pareho. Kaso nga, people are seeing us na constantly, so we both decided na okay to share it sa tao but still would not want discuss further about us in public. We want to keep it low for a change,” she said based on the report.
