Maggie Wilson Consunji and Bea Rose Santiago questioned the winning of Catriona Gray as the best in the swimsuit.
CATRIONA GRAY – The beauty queens Maggie Wilson Consunji and Bea Rose Santiago are not in favor when Catriona Gray won the Best in Swimsuit award.
Last Sunday, March 18, a new face and a new beauty queen has been named to represent the country in the most prestigious beauty pageant competition and that is Catriona Gray.
Catriona Gray is a double-title holder beauty queen as she was also crowned as Miss World Philippines 2016 and even finished a place at the Miss World competition.

Aside from winning the title and the crown, based on a previous article, she also won special awards such as Best in Swimsuit, Best in Long Gown, Best in National Costume, JAG Denim Queen, and Miss Ever Bilena.

- Bb. Pilipinas International 2018 – Ma. Ahtiza Manalo
- Bb. Pilipinas Globe 2018 – Michele Gumabao
- Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental 2018 – Karen Galman
- Bb. Pilipinas Grand International 2018 – Eva Patalinjug
- Bb. Pilipinas Supranational 2018 – Jehza Huelar
- First runner-up: Vickie Marie Rushton
- Second runner-up: Samantha Bernardo
However, upon her winning the Best in Swimsuit award, two beauty queens, Binibining Pilipinas World in 2007 Maggie Wilson and crowned Miss International in 2013 Bea Rose Santiago, seemingly believes that Gray is not deserving of the award.

Wilson said: “Huh, best in swimsuit? Paano? I mean, pretty face but definitely not the best body out there” while Santiago was surprised with the result.
Santiago furthermore indicated that Binibini 14 Samantha Bernardo is the “deserving” winner of the swimsuit award.
Thus, the comments of the beauty queens have made them as the target of “bashing” from supposed fans of Gray as they were flooded of negative comments social media.
