Joanna Demafelis’ Family Receives Threat From Unidentified Person

The slain Pinay maid Joanna Demafelis’ family in Iloilo had allegedly received a death threat from an unidentified person.

Over the past few weeks, the reports regarding the death of the slain Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) identified as Joanna Demafelis has been the headlines of several local news outlets and social media pages.

The dead body of the Pinay migrant worker was found inside the freezer of an abandoned apartment in Kuwait while the authorities are serving an eviction notice to the tenants of the apartment.

The suspects involving a Lebanese man named Nader Essam Assaf and Syrian woman identified as Mona Hassoun who were responsible for the OFW’s death have been arrested and now already under the custody.

Recently, the Facebook page “Bombo Radyo Iloilo” reported that the family of Joanna Demafelis received a death threat from an unidentified person.

Brgy. Kagawad Pablo Demafelis, uncle of Joanna confirmed that the family of the slain OFW received a threat.

Pablo revealed that someone threatened Jojit Demafelis, the sister of Joanna to suffer the same fate that the Pinay maid had experienced.

According to Kagawad Demafelis, a suspicious man talked to the family of Joanna who allegedly made the threat.

Meanwhile, the Demafelis family believe that the threat they received was linked to financial assistance given to them.
