“Filipinos Should Not Be Ashamed Of Their Wrong English Grammar,” Kelsey Merritt Says
The Filipina model Kelsey Merritt posted on her Twitter account that Filipinos should not be ashamed for having wrong English grammar.
English is the universal language used by most people all around the world to understand each other despite having different languages in their own country.
However, some people living in non-English speaking countries were having difficulties in speaking the universal language properly and usually feel ashamed of their grammatical errors.
Recently, the Filipina model Kelsey Merritt has posted on her social media account believing that Filipino people should not be shamed for having wrong English grammar.
Merritt wrote in her post that she finds it weird that many Filipino feels sorry for having grammar errors in English.
The model said that Pinoys should not be ashamed of their wrong English grammar because it’s not our first language. She also explained that even American people could not speak proper English, which is their first language.
Kelsey Merritt is a Filipina model who rose to fame after her appearance at the advertisement of Maybelline cosmetic company. In 2016, she was featured on the cover of Preview magazine.
Merritt was also the captain of her volleyball team during her high school days but now signed with Wilhelmina models.
