DOLE Says China Offers Over 300, 000 Jobs For Filipino Workers

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) said that China is offering over 300, 000 job opportunities for Filipino workers.

DOLE Secretary Silvestre Bello III that there are 300, 000 jobs waiting for the Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) in China.

Bello said English teachers are the third of the most in-demand jobs, which is necessary for the growing economy of China.

“There is a big demand for English teachers in China, kasi gusto yata ng mga Chinese na matutong mag-Ingles ‘yung mga anak nila,” Bello said quoted by CNN.

China needs the demand because of their growing population and lack of employees who can speak English.

The Labor secretary said that the Filipino teachers could earn $1, 2000 with an equivalent of P60, 000 per month.

The labor ministry of China is also hiring nurse, caregivers, household service workers, cooks, and musicians.

DOLE has responded to the statement of President Duterte of considering reaching out to China of Kuwaiti employers will continue to maltreat Pinoy workers to prevent abuse.

Bello also urged the Filipino workers interested to work in China must only contact the agencies accredited by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA).
