Bagyong Urduja Slowly Moves About 6 Kph

Here are the latest updates regarding Bagyong Urduja, which is slowly moving about 6 kilometers per hour (kph).

Tropical depression ‘Urduja’ is the first weather disturbance this month of December and the 21st typhoon this year.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) found the center of the tropical depression about 480 kilometers of East of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.

Bagyong Urduja has maximum sustained winds of 55 kph and gustiness of up to 65 kph moving 6 kph North-Northwest.

PAGASA’s track shows that the tropical depression has the possibility to intensify into a typhoon as it moves near to Eastern Visayas until weekends.

The province of Quezon, Mimaropa region, and Bicol could experience light to moderate rains in the morning, while Cagayan Valley and Palawan could experience light rains in the afternoon.

The entire Visayas would be directly affected by Bagyong Urduja especially the Eastern parts. Mindanao would be also rainy especially in the archipelago of Sulu, Soccsksargen, and Davao, which could experience thunderstorms that may cause flash floods.
