The Filipina weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz has now a bigger chance to win gold in 2018 Asian Games due to the implementation of one-year China ban.

Diaz has now a bigger chance to bag gold in the 18th Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia after she plucked the silver and a bronze medal in the World Championships in Anaheim, California in the United States last week.
“China will not participate in the Asian Games so we have one less country to think about there,” Diaz said quoted by Philstar.
The female athlete also bagged the silver media in the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, in Filipino on Monday (December 11, 2017).
However, Diaz explained that the game will still be tough despite the suspension of China because of her strong rivals from Japan, Korea, Thailand, and Chinese Taipei.
The 26-year-old weightlifter will take an almost 1-month break from training and will return to her preparation on January 08, 2018.
