Medical Experts Reveals Atio Castillo’s Real Cause Of Death

The medical experts have finally revealed the real cause of Horacio “Atio” Castillo’s death after allegedly victimized by fatal hazing.

Horacio Castillo III, a student at the University of Sto. Tomas (UST) who allegedly died because of the fatal hazing conducted by the members of the Aegis Juris Fraternity.

On Thursday (November 16, 2017), at least three medical experts including Floresto Arizala Jr., Rodel Capule, and Bu Castro show-up at the Department of Justice (DOJ) to defend the frat members that the hazing was not the main cause of Atio’s death.

The doctors have submitted their affidavits o the investigating panel led by Asst. State Prosecutor Susan Villanueva who said that Castillo died due to Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM).

The health experts also disapproved the medical findings of the Philippine National Police (PNP) that the hazing victim died because of acute tubular necrosis and congestion.

Arizala, a former member of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and a former lawyer said that no one dies on hazing.

Capule also cited the medical findings of the Manila Police District (MPD) crime laboratory office showing that Castillo was allegedly suffering from heart enlargement during the hazing.

Castro also explained that the findings of Dr. Palmero stating that Castillo died due to HCM seems unbelievable, which was written on his death certificate.

Previously, the frat members involved on Castillo’s death made an appeal to the court to dismiss the charges filed by MPD and Castillo’s parents against them.
