Mark Villar has posted the photos of the 47 sets of heavy equipment donated by China for the rehabilitation of beleaguered city of Marawi.

Marawi City suffered a severe devastation due to the extended gun battle between the government forces and the Islamic State (IS)-linked Maute Terror Group, which displaced thousands of its residents.

The bloody clash between the military troops and the terrorists have started last May 23, 2017, which prompted President Rodrigo Duterte to declared martial law throughout the entire region of Mindanao to handle the situation.

Recently, the alleged Abu Sayyaf leader Isnilon Hapilon and Omar Maute, the leader of Maute Terror Group have died during an encounter with the military troops.

President Duterte also declared Marawi City is now liberated and free from the hands of the extremists although there are still about 20-30 militants together with over 20 hostages were left hiding in different locations within the area.

The government forces were still conducting a manhunt and clearing operation to eliminate all the militants in the area.
